CHOOSE YOUR LABELING SETUP
Match operator involvement, output and label placement to your production needs.
Assess operator-loaded machines for small batches or frequent format changes. Check loading method, bottle support and practical output.
Review continuous bottle feeding, spacing and wrap application for compatible containers. Match conveyor operation to your required output.
For a defined orientation, two labels or glue-based application, confirm the sensing, application method and container handling of the selected model.
Planning note: Automation level and application method are separate choices. Self-adhesive and glue labelers require different label materials and setups.
BOTTLES, JARS & LABELS
The bottle surface, label construction and required coverage determine the application setup.
Provide diameter, height, filled weight and usable label-panel dimensions. Check shoulders, seams and surface texture.
Assess support and handling for narrow bottles, tubes or other compatible containers. Confirm stability during rotation and label application.
Check machine clearance, load capacity, guides and rotation arrangements for larger bottles or cylindrical packs.
Specify label length and coverage, including the intended seam gap or overlap. Match the label to the actual bottle circumference.
Share clear, metallic or other special label samples. Sensor selection and application behavior depend on the label and liner.
Do not assume every round-looking bottle is suitable for a standard wrap labeler. Assess taper, curves and artwork with samples.
Planning note: Use representative container and label samples to confirm detection, adhesion, wrinkles and placement before finalizing the configuration.
SELF-ADHESIVE LABELING WORKFLOW
This four-step overview describes a typical self-adhesive setup; glue-labeling processes differ.
Load the bottle manually or guide it along a conveyor. Set guides, supports and spacing for stable handling.
Trigger the label cycle and set application height. Where orientation is required, confirm a compatible reference-detection system.
Separate the label from its liner and rotate or roll the bottle through the application area to smooth the label onto the surface.
Inspect height, seam alignment and adhesion. Remove the bottle or transfer it to the next station.
Planning note: Automatic inspection and rejection need compatible additional systems. Manual checks remain part of the workflow where these functions are not fitted.
KEY SELECTION POINTS
Provide these six details to assess machine suitability and format adjustments.
Share minimum and maximum diameter, height, material, weight and rigidity. Indicate whether bottles are empty or filled.
Provide label width and length, liner width, roll core and outside diameter, gap and winding direction. Identify the labeling technology.
Define label height, wrap coverage, seam position and any alignment to a bottle feature. Specify one or two labels where required.
State target bottles per minute, working hours and operator availability. Practical throughput depends on feeding, format and application.
List every bottle and label combination. Confirm adjustment limits, required tooling and setup checks for each format.
Provide available space, conveyor height and direction, power supply and any model-specific air or adhesive-system requirements.
AUTOMATED BOTTLING & CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS
Plan the station around filling, capping, coding and downstream packaging.
Assess guides, spacing devices and accumulation around the selected labeler to maintain stable product presentation.
Choose the labeling stage around container cleanliness, moisture, closure handling and transfer stability.
Review height, direction, speed and transfer gaps. Confirm controls and operating compatibility between connected machines.
Specify whether codes are printed on labels or containers. Assess compatible coding equipment, print access and timing.
Define presence, position, artwork or code checks. Vision verification and rejection require a suitable system and clear acceptance criteria.
Allow space for roll replacement, adjustments and maintenance. Assess fixtures and downstream packing transfer for all planned formats.
